Arrival.

With the exception of actual places, everyone will find themselves in Red Oak, Delaware.*
Red Oak a small town, with a population of 20,000 or so. It's a no Starbucks town, has only one mall, and everything you expect a smaller but homey town to have. Until now, nothing ever really happened in Red Oak. It used to be a small town along the coast and after everything started one morning an empty metropolitan city was simply there right next to it. Everything about the city seemed functioning and well taken care of, and it even came with signs, libraries, and records that said it was the city of "Metropolis", complete with a Daily Planet building. Location wise, Red Oak was now practically a suburb to the empty city.

When characters arrive, the only things they have with them are the clothes on their back and whatever items they happened to have on hand. (If they were driving a car, they've got a car. If they have a subspace pocket, they still have a subspace pocket.)

Characters can go wherever they want, explore their new surroundings, or they can stay in Red Oak or Metropolis when the government allow people to settle in it. (Or they could do it anyway, without the permission.) The exception to this rule is off world or time travel. Anyone normally able to do so, will find themselves unable to leave the planet Earth at this time. They can still travel the world, but they'll find a field of some sort keeping them from leaving Earth, or if they try to teleport, they'll simply find themselves exactly where they tried to leave.

*Red Oak, Delaware is a fictional town in actual real life, at least as far as the Mod is aware.
